(HIT) - Sure-Strike™, the new product from WMW Innovation Company, is being billed as the only strike plate system in the world that combines high-security and adjustability for deadbolts.

The Sure-Strike strike plate solves two common problems for residential entry doors. First, it improves doorjamb strength, providing added security against kick-in burglaries. Second, its patent-pending spring pin technology self-adjusts to ensure proper deadbolt alignment in homes with shifting doors and doorframes.

Security

The strike plate has always been the weakest point of exterior door security. In homes with shifting foundations, they tend to be adjusted multiple times, further weakening the area. When a kick-in burglary occurs, the strike plate and surrounding wood are generally the first to fail.

Made from reinforced composites and hardened steel, Sure-Strike is substantially stronger than the traditional strike plate. Its unique 3-3/4" housing inserts deep into the doorframe and is secured by extra-long 3.5" hardened steel screws helping it resist kicking, sawing, and prying by would-be burglars.

According to Sure-Strike inventor Winston Wilder, "Burglars aren’t stupid. If they encounter much resistance, they’ll just move on to an easier house. And that’s the whole idea."

Adjustability

Sure-Strike is also the world’s first self-adjusting strike plate. In structures with shifting foundations, the traditional strike plate requires periodic adjustment to ensure proper door closure and lock function.

Sure-Strike solves this issue with a patent-pending, spring-loaded pin system that self-adjusts to accept misaligned deadbolts. The result is a fully locking, tighter-fitting door.

"Now I can use my deadbolt," Sure-Strike customer Linsey Garwacki said. "Before it was too hard to turn."

Sure-Strike works with existing deadbolts/locksets, and is available in a variety of finishes to match the existing door hardware.
